Hi
I have a Megapoints solenoid controller that can address 6 points i.e values 0 to 11 on a single address. It appears that LC-DCC windows software is limited to values 0 to 7. Is it possible to increase this range please.
Regards Barry

Hi John
Yes, I have tried different addresses and get no response.
However I have re-read the Megapoints manual and believe you are correct in that they should work that way.
I believe there is a problem with my DCC Module.
I was getting unreliable point operation and was not sure if it was the software or the DDC module. I have just discovered that the Points work every time if a blow a hair-dryer at the module for a few seconds. So I suspect a dry joint on the board somewhere. But still only work with values on address 2.
I have emailed Megapoints for advice.
Thank you for the reply, I was not sure if the method I was using was a peculiarity of your code or not.
Regards Barry

I have tested points operation with both Hornby R8247 and DCC Concepts AD2FX decoders. So your megapoints decode should work if NMRA compliant.

Not having used megapoints before, but looking at their manuals I notice they use I2C to link their modules. I would check the SCL, SDA, GND cable connectors. These can some times become unreliable and just need unplugging and then re-connecting.
